Zebra DS9308 Presentation Scanner (DS9308-SR00004ZCWW)

The Zebra DS9308 is a compact corded presentation (hands-free) 2D barcode scanner – the little scanner with big functionality for checkouts where counter space is tight. It reads virtually every 1D and 2D barcode, on paper labels and on phone screens, as fast as items are presented, stands on its own integrated tilting base and can be picked up for handheld scanning whenever needed. It is backed by a 3-year (36-month) Zebra warranty. This version, DS9308-SR00004ZCWW, has the Standard Range (SR) imager with integrated Checkpoint EAS deactivation, comes in Midnight Black and is supplied as the scanner only – an interface cable is not included.

• Scans it all – with virtually no exceptions – 1D and 2D barcodes including tiny high-density codes, QR codes, Data Matrix, DotCode and dotted Data Matrix, on paper labels and on phone or tablet screens (e-coupons, loyalty cards, mobile tickets), even through cellophane.

• Multi-position base that won't wear out – the integrated, frictionless ratcheting base has four positions from 15° back to 45° forward; pick the scanner up for handheld scanning of bulky items.
• Intelligent adaptive illumination – the recessed LEDs dim automatically when idle and light up as soon as a barcode is presented, so they don't dazzle staff or customers.
• Intelligent Document Capture – turns prescriptions, cheques, passports and other A6-size documents into clear electronic images; Multi-Code Data Formatting and Preferred Symbol read several barcodes in one go or only the one you need.
• Built for knocks and spills – survives 1.5 m drops to concrete and 1,000 tumbles; IP52 sealing and a spill-proof base with a concealed beeper hole and raised electronics.
• Plug and play – connects via USB, RS232, Keyboard Wedge or IBM 46xx (RS485) with auto-host-detect Zebra cables, supports more than 90 international keyboards and is backwards compatible with DS9208 cables and power supplies.
• Zebra DataCapture DNA – stage scanners with 123Scan, manage them remotely with Scanner Management Service (SMS) or WMI and monitor performance with ScanSpeed Analytics; 36-month Zebra warranty.

For a new checkout, choose a USB kit – DS9308-SR4U2100AZE (black) or DS9308-SRWU2100AZE (white) – the USB cable is included, so the scanner is ready to plug in and scan. If you already have a Zebra CBA-U21-S07ZBR USB cable (the same cable is used by the DS2208 and DS4608), the scanner-only DS9308-SR00004ZZWW (black) and DS9308-SR0000WZZWW (white) are the most economical choice, and DS9308-SR00004ZCWW is the version for stores that use Checkpoint EAS security tags.
