The Honeywell 8680i is a wearable mini mobile computer that sits on two fingers or on the back of the hand, so workers keep both hands free for picking, packing and sorting. Its omnidirectional 2D area imager reads 1D and 2D barcodes, a line-of-sight display shows connection, battery and scan status, and pairing with Android, iOS and Windows devices takes seconds via NFC or a Bluetooth barcode. IP54 sealing, 2,000 tumbles and an operating range of −20 °C to 50 °C make it ready for busy warehouses and cold areas. This version, 8680IB202-2, is the Advanced model of the updated 8680iB generation – Bluetooth 5.0, a customizable colour display, two-button interface, Wi-Fi with fast roaming and SDK, so it can run picking, packing and sorting workflows as a standalone device instead of a scanner plus mobile computer. It ships with the extended 2160 mAh battery and the triggered ring with two-finger strap.

• Full-shift battery – the extended 2160 mAh battery delivers about 8,000 scans over a 10-hour shift and is swapped in seconds; a slim 1200 mAh battery (BAT-SCN03) is available for lighter weight in shorter shifts.
• Bluetooth 5.0 Class 1 with BLE + dual-band Wi-Fi – Bluetooth up to 100 m line of sight with NFC tap-to-pair and HID/SPP profiles, plus Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac on 2.4 and 5 GHz with 802.11r fast roaming and WPA2-Enterprise security.
• Built for rugged work – IP54 sealing, 30 drops from 1.5 m to concrete and 2,000 tumbles at 0.5 m; operates from −20 °C to 50 °C.
