Datalogic Gryphon I GBT4500 Barcode Scanner (GBT4500-HC-HD-WLC)

The Datalogic Gryphon I GBT4500-HC is the healthcare version of Datalogic's premium cordless Gryphon 4500 2D imager. Its white, disinfectant-ready housing (with light green details) is treated with antimicrobial additives (ISO 22196 compliant) and withstands daily cleaning with harsh disinfectant solutions, while Bluetooth® 4.0 with BLE gives up to 100 m of freedom around the bed, the ward or the lab. The scanner charges wirelessly (inductively) in its base – no charging contacts to clean or wear out – and the 1 MP sensor with warm white illumination reads patient wristbands, medication labels, specimen tubes and codes on phone screens and monitors, confirming every read with Green Spot, 3GL™ and an optional silent vibration. In this version, GBT4500-HC-HD-WLC, the scanner has High Density (HD) optics – optimised for very small, dense codes; it is supplied as the scanner only (with battery) – the WLC4090-HC-BT base station and an interface cable are not included; it is intended for expanding an existing GBT4500 Bluetooth installation or replacing a scanner.

• Bluetooth® 4.0 with BLE – up to 100 m range with the base station (Class 1, open air), data encryption and scanner authentication; up to 7 scanners per base, or a direct connection to a Bluetooth-enabled host via the Serial Port Profile (SPP).
• Wireless charging, long battery life – inductive charging in the WLC4090 base eliminates charging contacts that need cleaning or wear out; the adjustable-position base keeps the scanner reading hands-free while it charges (Scan-While-Charging), and the user-replaceable 3250 mAh Li-ion battery delivers up to 80,000 reads per charge.
• Green Spot, 3GL™ and silent vibration – a green spot projected onto the code, Three Green Lights and a vibration alert confirm every good read; combined with the silent operating mode, even night-time bedside scanning does not disturb patients.
• Motionix™ motion sensing – switches seamlessly between handheld and presentation reading modes.
• Flexible connectivity – the WLC4090 Bluetooth base is a USB and RS-232 multi-interface, depending on the cable; free Datalogic Aladdin configuration tool, OPOS/JavaPOS utilities and Remote Host Download.
