TSC MB241 / MB341 Series Industrial Label Printer

The TSC MB241 series is a compact 4-inch industrial label printer built for continuous production printing — the class of machine you put on a line, in a despatch area or a production cell where a desktop printer would wear out. It prints at 203 dpi (or 300 dpi as the MB341) using thermal transfer, so labels last.

  • Compact 4-inch industrial printer for production lines, despatch areas and production cells
  • Thermal transfer at 203 dpi (MB241) or 300 dpi (MB341) for durable labels
  • USB, RS232 and Ethernet on every version – on the network without an extra module
  • MB241/MB341 with 2.3-inch colour LCD, MB241T/MB341T with 3.5-inch colour touch display
  • Larger media rolls and replaceable wear parts for thousands of labels a day

Which version?

All four models share the same core: 4-inch print width, thermal transfer, and Ethernet, USB and RS232 as standard — no extra module needed to put the printer on the network. They differ in resolution and display:

  • MB241 — 203 dpi, 2.3-inch colour LCD
  • MB241T — 203 dpi, 3.5-inch colour touch display
  • MB341 — 300 dpi, 2.3-inch colour LCD
  • MB341T — 300 dpi, 3.5-inch colour touch display

Choose 300 dpi for small labels, fine text and 2D barcodes.

Why an industrial printer rather than a desktop

  • Duty cycle — built for thousands of labels a day, every day, rather than occasional batches
  • Larger media capacity — bigger label rolls and ribbon rolls mean fewer changes per shift
  • Serviceability — printheads and platen rollers are wear parts designed to be replaced, so the printer stays in service for years

If you print a few dozen labels a day at a packing bench, a desktop printer is the more sensible purchase. The MB241 earns its place when printing is continuous.

RFID upgrade option

The MB241 series can be upgraded with a UHF RFID module, available as an upgrade kit in cutter and tear-off versions. That matters if RFID is on your roadmap but not in this year's budget — you can buy the printer now and add RFID encoding later rather than replacing the machine.

Thermal transfer means choosing a ribbon

Match the ribbon to the label material, not to the printer. Paper labels take wax, coated paper takes wax-resin, and synthetic labels need resin — wax will not bond to a synthetic label and wipes off with a thumb.

All MB241 and MB341 printers below are CE certified and covered by manufacturer warranty. Matching labels and ribbons are available from stock.
