The Honeywell 8680i is a wearable mini mobile computer that sits on two fingers or on the back of the hand, so workers keep both hands free for picking, packing and sorting. Its omnidirectional 2D area imager reads 1D and 2D barcodes, a line-of-sight display shows connection, battery and scan status, and pairing with Android, iOS and Windows devices takes seconds via NFC or a Bluetooth barcode. IP54 sealing, 2,000 tumbles and an operating range of −20 °C to 50 °C make it ready for busy warehouses and cold areas. This version, 8680I200-2, is the Standard model – a lightweight Bluetooth 4.1 wearable scanner that sends data to a paired phone, tablet, PC or mobile computer. It ships with the extended 2160 mAh battery and the triggered ring with two-finger strap.

• Ring or glove – field-reconfigurable – the included triggered ring has a reversible trigger for right- or left-hand use; with the glove mount the scanner moves to a one-size strap glove (left or right hand) that can be worn on a bare hand or over a work glove and is machine-washable.
• Full-shift battery – the extended 2160 mAh battery delivers about 8,000 scans over a 10-hour shift and is swapped in seconds; a slim 1200 mAh battery (BAT-SCN03) is available for lighter weight in shorter shifts.
• Bluetooth 4.1 Class 1 with NFC – up to 100 m line of sight, NFC tap-to-pair with Android devices, Bluetooth HID keyboard mode for phones, tablets and PCs and serial port profile (SPP) for PCs and Honeywell computers.
• Built for rugged work – IP54 sealing, 30 drops from 1.5 m to concrete and 2,000 tumbles at 0.5 m; operates from −20 °C to 50 °C.
• Easy fleet management – Honeywell Operational Intelligence manages the battery population lifecycle for uninterrupted full-shift operation and deploys settings and firmware updates.
