In this guide
Both are 4-inch industrial printers with 104 mm print width, 203 dpi as standard, 300 or 600 dpi as options, and a 4.3 in. colour touch display. The ZT411 belongs to the ZT400 Series, built for high throughput in demanding environments. The ZT610 is part of the ZT600 Series, Zebra's high-performance line for 24/7 operation in harsh environments, with an all-metal build, faster printing at 300 and 600 dpi, Gigabit Ethernet and more memory. - You print shipping, warehouse or product labels in high volumes
- Space and weight matter: it is about 6 kg lighter and 72 mm lower
- At 203 or 300 dpi you print short labels from 12.7 mm in tear-off mode (the ZT610 needs 18 mm)
- You want linerless labels or a 25 mm core media hanger
- The printer runs 24/7 in production or in dusty, harsh conditions
- You print at 300 or 600 dpi and need the speed: 305 mm/s and 152 mm/s
- You use narrow labels and ribbons from 20 mm
- You want Gigabit Ethernet and more on-board memory
- You may later need 6-inch labels: the ZT620 shares the same platform
What both printers share
Daily handling is very similar. You load labels from the side; the ribbon is coated on the outside and wraps directly onto the take-up spindle, which you empty with the ribbon release knob. Both use the Print wizard on the touch display, calibrate from Print › Sensors › Manual Calibration, print ZPL and use Zebra's ZDesigner Windows driver. Both also fall under Zebra's EU security setup: with Ethernet and Bluetooth as standard, units placed on the EU market from 1 August 2025 use a Protected Mode password and a front-panel PIN.
The 6-inch versions
Each printer has a wider sibling with 168 mm print width. The ZT421 takes media 51–178 mm wide at up to 305 mm/s. The ZT620 takes media 51–180 mm wide and ribbon 51–170 mm, at up to 305 mm/s at 203 dpi and 203 mm/s at 300 dpi. See ZT411 vs ZT421 for the ZT400 pair.

They use the same type: coated on the outside, up to 450 m on a 25.4 mm core. The ZT610 takes widths from 20 mm, the ZT411 from 51 mm, both up to 110 mm.
Do both printers come with a colour touch display?
Yes. Both have a 4.3 in. colour touch display with the same style of menus and wizards.
