The Zebra LI2208 is a corded 1D linear imager – a fast, rugged and affordable handheld barcode scanner for checkouts, offices, libraries and light warehousing. Its linear imager captures up to 547 scans per second and reads all common 1D (linear) barcodes from 2.5 cm to about 78 cm on standard EAN/UPC codes – printed on paper labels and packaging and displayed on phone, tablet or computer screens (mobile coupons, loyalty cards, e-tickets). It connects to USB, RS232, keyboard wedge and IBM 46xx hosts with the matching cable. Please note: the LI2208 reads 1D barcodes only – it does not read 2D codes such as QR codes, Data Matrix or PDF417. This version, LI2208-SR7U2100SGW, comes in black (Twilight Black) and is supplied with a USB cable and a gooseneck Intellistand for hands-free scanning.

Key Features
- Fast 1D linear imaging – up to 547 scans per second and a single bright amber aiming line read all common 1D barcodes (EAN/UPC, Code 128, GS1-128, Code 39, Interleaved 2 of 5, GS1 DataBar and more) at the first attempt – even damaged, poorly printed or low-contrast (15%) codes.
- Reads from paper and screens – unlike a laser scanner, the LI2208 also reads 1D barcodes displayed on mobile phones, tablets and computer monitors – ideal for mobile coupons, loyalty cards and e-tickets.
- 1D only – please check your barcodes – the LI2208 does not read QR codes, Data Matrix, PDF417 or other 2D codes. If you need them, choose the Zebra DS2208 2D scanner.
- Wide working range – from 2.5 cm to about 78 cm on standard 100% EAN/UPC (13 mil) barcodes and up to 140 cm on large 200% UPC codes; also reads high-density codes down to 3 mil.
- Universal interfaces – one scanner for USB, RS232, keyboard wedge (KBW) and IBM 468x/469x hosts – just change the cable. Auto-host detect cables recognise the connected interface automatically.
- Handheld or hands-free – placed in the optional gooseneck Intellistand, the scanner switches between handheld and hands-free presentation scanning automatically.
- Built for all-day use – IP42 sealing, survives 1.8 m drops to concrete and 2,000 tumbles; no moving parts in the scan engine and a 60-month Zebra hardware warranty.
- Easy to deploy and manage – just 140 g, over 90 international keyboards supported, and free 123Scan, Scanner Management Service (SMS) and Scanner SDK tools for configuration, firmware updates and remote management.
