Zebra DS9900 Series Presentation Scanner (DS9908-HD4000WZZWW)

The Zebra DS9908 is a corded hybrid 2D presentation scanner – one of a kind, designed from the ground up for both hands-free and handheld scanning. It stands on its own integrated adjustable stand for fast hands-free scanning, switches to handheld mode the moment it is picked up and reads virtually every 1D and 2D barcode, on labels and on phone screens. It is backed by a 5-year (60-month) Zebra warranty. This version, DS9908-HD4000WZZWW, is the high density (HD) version for labs and pharmacies, with white illumination LEDs, comes in Alpine White and is supplied as the scanner only – an interface cable is not included.

• Built for the lab – the high density focus reads tiny barcodes on microscope slides and curved barcodes on vials and medicine bottles, and white illumination LEDs read barcodes on colour-coded specimen trays and biopsy cassettes that red light would wash out; securPharm labels are supported too.
• Rapid-fire scanning – the widest field of view in its class (48° × 30.6°) and swipe speeds of up to 610 cm/s (13 mil UPC) keep lines moving; in presentation mode the range is limited to prevent accidental scans, and when the scanner is picked up the range extends automatically to reach items on the counter or in the cart.
• Hybrid ergonomics – the comfortably weighted, well-balanced handle is easy to aim, and the integrated adjustable stand is a sturdy, compact solution for crowded counters.
• Intelligent Document Capture and OCR – captures high-resolution images of documents, cheques and forms with a single trigger press, reads OCR-A/OCR-B/MICR text, and Multi-Code Data Formatting and Preferred Symbol read several barcodes at once or only the one you need.
• Built for everyday use – a single circuit board design, a double-sealed optical system and a recessed scan window; IP52 sealing with elevated electronics, multiple 1.5 m drops to concrete and 2,000 tumbles.
• Plug and play – connects via USB, RS232, Keyboard Wedge or IBM 46xx (RS485) with auto-host-detect Zebra cables, supports more than 90 international keyboards and is compatible with Zebra DS9808 cables.
• Zebra DataCapture DNA – program the scanner with 123Scan, update firmware remotely with Scanner Management Service (SMS), spot poor barcodes with ScanSpeed Analytics and integrate it with the Scanner SDKs for Windows, Android, iOS and Linux; 5-year Zebra warranty.
