Datalogic PowerScan PBT9600 Barcode Scanner (PBT9600-DCRB)

The Datalogic PowerScan PBT9600 is a rugged cordless 2D handheld imager from Datalogic's PowerScan 9600 series, built for warehouses, manufacturing and logistics. Its Bluetooth® 5.0 radio (Class 1, up to 100 m in open air) links it to a PowerScan 9600 Bluetooth base station or directly to any Bluetooth-enabled PC, tablet or mobile computer, and it charges wirelessly (inductively) in the base, so there are no charging contacts to wear out. A removable 3350 mAh battery lasts for about 80,000 reads per charge, the scanner withstands 50 drops from 2.5 m, is sealed to IP65 and IP67 and comes with a 3-year Datalogic warranty. This version, PBT9600-DCRB, has Document Capture (DC) optics – a wide-angle colour sensor for barcode reading and colour capture of documents and images.

It is the model without a display – a straightforward trigger-only scanner. It is supplied as the scanner with battery only – the base station, interface cable and power supply are not included.

• IP65 and IP67 sealing – dust-tight and protected against water jets and temporary immersion, so the scanner can be cleaned and used in wet, dusty and outdoor areas.
• Clear good-read feedback – Datalogic 3GL™ (Three Green Lights), the Green Spot projected onto the code, a loud adjustable beeper and vibration confirm every read, even in noisy environments.
• Motionix™ motion sensing – the scanner senses when it is picked up and is instantly ready to read.
• Modular base station – the BC9600-series base/charger takes plug-in connection modules for USB and RS-232 (CM9630/CM9631) or Ethernet, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET (CM9680/CM9681); free Datalogic Aladdin configuration tool, OPOS/JavaPOS utilities and EASEOFCARE service plans.

How to read the part numbers: SR, HP, AR and DC stand for Standard Range, High Performance, Auto Range and Document Capture (colour sensor) optics; DK models have a display with a 16-key keypad; R/RB means the removable battery is included. Versions ending in K10 are USB kits and versions ending in K20 RS-232 kits, both with the BC9630-BT base station and a power supply; the final EU or US gives the power cord supplied, and versions without a K suffix are the scanner only.
