Shipping Label Printers

Every parcel you send through Omniva, DPD, DHL, Itella / Smartpost or Venipak needs a printed shipping label — and printing those on A4 sheets with a laser printer wastes paper, time and toner. A dedicated 4-inch thermal label printer prints one label per parcel, straight from your courier portal or webshop, in about a second and with no ink or ribbon to buy.

Why direct thermal for parcels

Every printer on this page is direct thermal — it prints by heating the label, with no ribbon. That matters for shipping because a parcel label only has to survive a few days in transit. There is no ribbon to buy, nothing to change mid-shift, and the running cost is just the label roll.

Use thermal transfer instead if the label must survive months of sunlight, moisture or abrasion — for product and asset labelling rather than parcels.

Labels and formats

Baltic and Nordic courier portals produce labels sized for a 4-inch (100 mm wide) roll, most commonly 100 × 150 mm. That is the format these printers are built around, and the size to order in thermal labels.

Courier and webshop systems output labels either as a PDF (printed through the normal printer driver) or as ZPL/EPL commands sent straight to the printer. Both work with the models here; check what your courier portal or e-commerce plugin produces before choosing, since ZPL support is a Zebra-native format that several other brands also emulate.
